Not Always


A few years ago, I saw this blurb for a cookbook:

"Because whether you're a novice or an expert, cooking should never be intimidating - and it should always be fun."

I disagree. Sometimes it should be intimidating, and if it's always fun, you're doing it wrong.

'Tis The Season for...

Stop!


 Don't pick the red raspberries. They aren't ripe yet. These aren't red raspberries, they are black raspberries.


A tip, if you've never been berry picking. If the berry doesn't release easily, it's not ready to eat. Raspberries are a little more "stuck" on than blackberries and mulberries, but if you find yourself in a fight for the berry, let it go. It's not going to taste good anyway. Just a gentle tug or twist should do it.
